The Salsa Madre story began in the summer of 2012 with Miriam selling her homemade red salsa at the Provo farmers market under the name The Salsa Place. It was an instant hit, regularly selling out long before the market closed for the day. In the years since, Salsa Madre has been winning over salsa loving hearts across Utah, and has expanded to now offering nine varieties of salsa, as well as the recently-launched Queso. The company recently underwent a much needed re-branding, changing their name from The Salsa Place to Salsa Madre. Madre is the Spanish word for mother, and lets face it, we are the mother of all salsa.

When farmers markets are closed for the winter, customers are able to find Salsa Madre Salsas on the shelves of Good Earth Grocers and Reams, but even they struggle to keep these popular products in stock. Luckily, there's an answer! We opened our first brick and mortar store December 2020, where customers and their families are able to pick up their favorite salsa and other authentic Mexican meals to-go. All of our items are sold refrigerated but are FULLY cooked, so all you need to do is heat it up at home. We offer items like tamales, taco kits, and much more! Our store is “grocery style”. No need to call ahead and order. What’s in our fridges is up for grabs. But if you would like to secure a specific item, contact us by text or call at 801-787-9398 with an order 24 hours in advance.
